This Reflections piece has been created on canvas, street art walls, silk screen prints, NFTs and now these foil editions. Inspired by all of the previous variations of this piece, I have created 13 different pieces in the lenses like the NFT collection, in 4 different shiny foil colours that play on popular colours from previous works with red, pink, gold and rainbow.
Jean Michel Basquiat was a pioneer in the street art scene and someone who blurred the lines between graffiti and fine art. His expressive work was bold, free and emotive. It was his energy and how he transcended the graffiti and art scenes to create something iconic and his own that has inspired me so much over the years.
